Abstract: The notion of gender inequality has been a long lasting phenomenon and have been empirically investigated in so many economies by researchers like Blau & Kahn, Jones & Makepeace, etc. in the past. This work sets out to investigate the existence of gender discrimination in the heart of wage earnings. The dataset used is the Current Population Survey of the United State, the analysis showed that the likelihood of earning higher wages depends on the gender of the worker as male workers are likely to end more than their fellow female counterparts are in the same employment category. However, this likelihood depends on the Educational Qualifications of the workers (both male and female). Therefore, this works has empirical shown that there exists gender discrimination in the heart of wage earnings which is not independent of College Degree.

Intentional replantation is defined as extraction of the tooth followed by replacement in its socket. Intentional
replantation is considered as a last resort where surgical endodontics or conventional root canal therapy cannot be
performed. Factors determining success in intentional replantation are periodontal cell viability, removal of irritant, good
apical seal and procedure carried out under aseptic condition with a traumatic extraction. In this article, a case of
intentional reimplantation is described and discussed as a treatment approach for failed root canal treatment with
separated instrument periapically beyond the apical terminus in mandibular second molar.

Mitrocarpus Scaber is a local herb traditionally used for the treatment of eczema, ringworm and other skin disorders. Dry crude methanolic leaf extract was obtained, weighed and dissolved in double distilled deionized water giving a concentration of 20mg/ml solution. Standardized solution of Nystatin and Griseofulvin were prepared from commercial tablets and used as standard controls. Sterilized Sabauroud’s dextrose agar contained in universal bottles containing chloramphenicol were divided into groups of 5 in which variable numbers of drops (0.05ml) of the test drug (Griseofulvin, Nystatin and Mitrocarpus scaber) were made before the bottles were thoroughly mixed and slanted. Purified identified culture of Candida albicans and Trichophyton mentagraphytes were obtained and used as test cultures. Each of the test agar slants were inoculated with Trichophyton. mentagraphtes in one group and Candida albicans in the other. The bottles were incubated at 370C for three to four days before observing them for growth of the inoculated organisms. No growth in the test bottles was considered as positive inhibition. The experiment was replicated three times and results were recorded. The results indicated that Mitrocarpus extract inhibited the growth of both Trichophyton mentragraphytes and Candida albicans at the agar concentration of 4mg/ml. nystatin was inhibitory to T. mentagraphytes at 7mg/ml and Candida albicans at 1mg/ml but did not inhibit the growth of Candida albicans. It is suggested that further research into the fungistatic effect of Mitrocarpus scaber to be carried out to explore its values in developing drugs for treating both human and veterinary dermatomycosis

10.21276/sb.2017.3.3.5
Abstract: On utilizing the available resources in Nigeria, carbon dioxide and other environmental substances are emitted into the atmosphere, which pollutes the Economy. Dynamically, this research work employs quarterly time series on the variable of interest, given the integration of the same order [I(1)] of the series, and co-integration via Bound-Testing Technique, this work utilizes the Auto-regressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) Model and discovered that at present, Emission of Carbon Dioxide (CE) is statistically significant and positively related to the Average Manufacturing Capacity Utilization (AMCU) in the short and long run, denoting that the emission of Carbon Dioxide is in-line with Green Economics; which however will not jeopardize future production and consumption. On the other hand, Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) is inversely related with Average Manufacturing Capacity Utilization (AMCU), in the short and long-run. These findings agree with Zhen and Jing (2009), Anietie (2011) and DiNapoli (2007). The Researchers however suggest utilization of available capacities in adding value to goods and services and a more effective and tightened Carbon Emission Tax System (CETS) like Cap-and-Trade, Carbon Tax, Pigouvian Tax, etc. which will keep in check, the quantity of Emitted Carbon Dioxide in Nigeria and consequently, not affect the birds of the air and earth (Livestock), aquatic animals, and human beings. Hence creating a future better Nigeria with respect to production and Consumption.
