Since Blum-Kulka (1986) proposed the “Explicitation Hypothesis”, explicitation and implicitation have received widespread attention and become important topics in translation, achieving significant development. This study is based on previous theories and uses the corpus analysis software AntConc to construct a corpus comprising three English translations of Kong Yiji. It analyzes and compares the characteristics of its explicit and implicit strategies, providing some support for the “Explicitation Hypothesis” and providing some reference for literary translation practice and appreciation.
